A mufti (non-uniform) day will be held on Friday 16th March 2018, for students from Kindergarten to Year 12, with proceeds going to support the Alannah and Madeline Foundation (AMF), a not-for-profit organisation protecting students from violence and bullying. The Foundation is committed to building a supportive and safe society where no child feels unsafe or is threatened with violence. Fundraising for the AMF provides funding for programs focussing on building safer cyber communities and providing essential supplies, emergency accommodation, and psychological support for children. This mufti day coincides with the school’s anti-bullying day. The theme for the day is “Athletes”.
Students dressing in Mufti will be expected to make a gold coin donation at the beginning of Period 1. There will be a sausage sizzle, soft drinks, lollies and zooper doopers available for sale. Prices are:
Sausage sandwich – $2.00
Soft drink – $2.00
Zooper doopers – 50c
Killer pythons – 50c
Innes House will also be running Easter Egg Raffles to support the RSPCA, with tickets to be sold during Weeks 7 – 9 (12th March to 27th March). Raffle tickets will be 50 cents each or 3 for $1. Raffles will be drawn at the Primary and Secondary Assemblies in Week 9.
To assist in the smooth running of the day and to ensure it is enjoyable for everyone involved, we would be grateful if you would please observe the Mufti Day Guidelines. Students should remember that the opportunity to wear mufti is a privilege and will be forfeited if these guidelines are not followed.
Students are encouraged to eat a balanced and healthy lunch. Purchase of confectionery food and drink products is optional. Sending money in for such purchases is done so at the discretion of parents and caregivers.
