St Columba Anglican School (SCAS) is excited to launch a new Football Academy.
The program is designed to allow players to develop in conjunction with other representative programs and to provide an alternative program to help players reach their potential. The program will provide a professional and encouraging learning environment particularly suited to helping junior players reach their full potential as footballers. The focus of the academy will be on technical skills with how, where, when and why to use skills to enhance decision making and create match winning football players.
The SCAS Football Academy program will run on Tuesday morning 7.15am – 8.30am and Thursday afternoon 3.30pm – 5.00pm. All training sessions will be conducted on the school oval.
The Football Academy will be open to players in Years 3 to 6. Players will be selected through an open trial on Tuesday 20th February and Thursday 22nd February at 3.30pm – 4.45pm. Players will need to wear their boots and shin pads for the trials.
Parents are welcome to attend an information talk at the conclusion of the first trial on Tuesday 20th February.
