Each year the University of NSW offers external assessments across a range of subjects. These ICAS (International Competitions and Assessments for Schools) examinations provide students with the opportunity to compare their skills with other students across the country and internationally. The examinations that are available include:
Digital Technologies (Years 3 to 10) – Tuesday 8th May – $9.90
Science (Years 2 to 12) – Tuesday 29th May – $9.90
Writing (Years 3 to 12) – Thurs 14th June – $19.80
Spelling (Years 2 to 8) – Wednesday 13th June – $13.20
English (Years 2 to 12) – Tuesday 31st July – $9.90
Mathematics (Years 2 to 12) – Tuesday 14th August – $9.90
If you would like your son or daughter to participate in the ICAS Examinations, please complete the ICAS Expression of Interest Form before Friday 16th March 2018. If there is insufficient interest in running these examinations (less than five students), the examinations will not run.
Parents who indicate that they would like their child to participate in these examinations will be asked accept and pay the above amounts via the Parent Lounge. Students participating in ICAS examinations will be removed from their regular class to sit the examination in a supervised classroom on the date(s) shown.
