Parents are invited to a Year 7 Meet the Teacher Evening and BBQ. This is a chance for parents/caregivers to meet with staff who are teaching and supporting Year 7 this year.
There will be a “Back to the Classroom” session for parents from 4.30pm, where you get to experience life in the classroom at SCAS. Secondary School staff will then split up into the separate class groups of Year 7 and parents may meet the various class teachers. Parents are asked to be aware of which class group their child is in. There will then be a BBQ from 5.30pm, giving parents an opportunity to mingle with staff and other parents on an informal basis.
The format of the evening will be as follows:
4.30pm – “Back to the Classroom” session. Please meet under the front portico outside the School Front Office.
5.00pm – Staff to break into Year 7 class groups to meet parents.
5.30pm – BBQ and informal time with staff and other parents/caregivers in Phillips/Amphitheatre.
An email with an RSVP link has gone out to all parents of Year 7.
This evening is for parents/caregivers only and there will be no supervision for students at this event.
