Harmony Day

Did you know that around 45% of Australians were born overseas or have at least one parent who was?

Harmony Day is held every year on 21st March, coinciding with the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. This year, SCAS celebrated Australia’s cultural diversity in various ways. All SCAS students shared their cultural heritage, language and food from different cultures. Across Primary and Secondary, students are learning about and appreciating different cultures in their lessons. The Library had a display of multicultural books and interactive learning stations, as well as a language exchange at long break involving both Primary and Secondary students.
