Year 11 and 12 Drama students enjoyed a physical theatre workshop presented by Sara Ritchie, who is a past member of Physical Theatre groups Circus Oz and Legs on the Wall.
They explored ways to develop a physical language to describe a word or concept after exploring basic acrobalance and physical theatre techniques. The workshop helped our senior students develop and push their performance skills further than they have in class.
This was followed by watching our HSC Showcase online, completing a site-specific performance on the school grounds, sharing a meal and popcorn, and finally watching a superb theatre production of ‘Jane Eyre’ from London on the big screen. A great drama day was had by all.
