
We are pleased to introduce Mrs Nyree Pryce, who has joined School Psychologist David Bruce in our Wellbeing Team.
Nyree graduated with an Honours degree in Psychology at the University of New England and has worked in allied health and the disability sector.
We met up with Nyree to learn a little more about her interests and passions.
What was your background before SCAS?
Before joining SCAS, I worked as a psychologist in the disability sector, largely with neurodiverse children and adolescents. Prior to this, I worked holistically in allied health.
What are you looking forward to about 2024 at SCAS?
Building relationships throughout the school, getting to know students and their families and implementing small group interventions to foster resilience, balance, positive mental health and wellbeing for students.
What was your favourite co-curricular activity as a student?
Any water sport.
What is your favourite thing to do on the weekend in the Port Macquarie area?
Enjoying the beautiful beaches, preferably ocean swimming and spending time with family and friends.
What is your latest good read?
Hidden Potential by Adam Grant – “growth is not about the genius you possess – it’s about the character you develop”.
