Primary Futsal

Last Friday, our Primary Futsal teams showed the benefits of focusing on deep learning when competing in the 2022 Eastcoast Hastings School Futsal Titles. Our students showed great strength of character, by learning from and acting on the feedback through games to improve and by showing grit and tenacity to remain focused for 7-8 games.
They worked collaboratively as members of a team, playing in ways to maximise everyone’s strengths and by encouraging and supporting teammates to be the best they could be. Their gameplay was creative and we were proud of the way they used break times as an opportunity to watch and learn from opposing schools, a tactic that allowed them to reflect and think critically about their own game strategies.

As a result, all three teams went into the Grand Finals undefeated and gave their final games their best efforts. Our U11 Boys and U12 Girls teams won and our U12 Boys teams were runners up.

All three teams should feel incredibly proud of the way they played and represented SCAS. Special thank you also to Mr Stevens, a new member of our Primary Support team, for his efforts helping to coach our teams.
