A team of 80 students attended the HRIS Athletics Carnival held at Hunter Sports Stadium (Glendale). The SCAS team performed remarkably well on the day finishing 3rd in the overall point score and just 23 points behind the winning school (Hunter Valley Grammar School). Other highlights across the day included:
- Trent Alley breaking the 9-year boys 800m record by over 4 seconds;
- Michael Vandoros breaking the 12 years boys shot put record by 67cm;
- Robert Vandoros named as 12 years boys Age Champion;
- Age Pennants in the 10 Girls, 11 Boys & 12 Boys
From this event, 18 students have been selected in the HRIS team to attend CIS Athletics Championships later this term. Congratulations to the following:
