Step UP for Down Syndrome Walkathon

On August 31st Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 students, their teachers, aides and some enthusiastic parents enjoyed the sun (and some wind) whilst completing their walkathon. Some keen students ran and completed almost ten laps. In total, Stage 1 walked over 1000 laps!

The donations totalled $227 and will now be donated to Step UP! for Down Syndrome.  This is a very special cause as we have a personal connection with one of our Year 2 students, Olivia Eichler. Step UP! is dedicated to improving the lives of people with Down syndrome and raising awareness. People with Down syndrome possess many wonderful talents and qualities, but most importantly they want to live a meaningful and productive life just like everyone else!
