Annalie joins us in 2022 as our new K-12 Music Teacher. Prior to joining us at SCAS, Annalie was a Music Teacher at Kinross Wolaroi School in Orange for 18 years, where she had many roles during that time including Co-ordinator of Junior Music, Acting Head of Performing Arts and most recently, Co-ordinator of Instrumental Music (K-12).
The Media team sat down with Annalie at the start of Term 1 to find out a little more about her.
What are you looking forward to about 2022 at SCAS? | I am looking forward to being part of the wonderful SCAS community. I am super passionate about music and the performing arts so I am especially looking forward to teaching and inspiring the students to reach their full potential in these areas and being involved in both the academic and co-curricular Performing Arts programs. |
What was your favourite co-curricular activity as a student? | I enjoyed being involved in anything that involved Performing Arts! String ensemble, the school orchestra, choirs, musicals and drama. |
What is your favourite thing to do on the weekend in the Port Macquarie area? | We are new to Port Macquarie so I am loving exploring the coastal walks and being on the beach with my family and two cavoodles. |
What was your latest good read? | I enjoy light reading in the holidays, so my latest read was Liane Moriarty’s Apples Never Fall |
Tell us a fun fact about you | I absolutely LOVE Christmas and travelling. My dad is from Germany so we have had a number of amazing trips overseas to Europe and we celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve (German tradition). |
