We welcome Cameron to our Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) faculty this year. Cameron will be teaching PDHPE across both the Primary and Secondary Schools. Prior to joining us, Cameron worked throughout Sydney and also at The Armidale School.
The Media team met up with Cameron to learn more about him.
What are you looking forward to about 2023 at SCAS? | Looking forward to meeting and getting to know the students and wider community of SCAS. Excited for what this year will bring and the new opportunities that might come my way. |
What was your favourite co-curricular activity as a student? | As a student, I loved all things sports and outdoor camps. Most of my time at school was dedicated to planning soccer and cricket. |
What is your favourite thing to do on the weekend? | Recently I’ve gotten into 4-wheel driving and camping. I love to get into the outdoors and explore secret spots, chasing waterfalls and good coffee. Moving to the coast for the first time, hopefully my new favourite things to do will be surfing and fishing, but we will see how it goes. |
What was your latest good read? | Few good reads in the summer. Top three would be ‘Stolen Focus’ by Johann Hari. Great insight into the impact of technology on our attention spans (bit scary to think about). ‘Breath’ by James Nester, thinking about what we all do but never really think about how it impacts us. ‘Why has no one told me this before’ by Dr Julie Smith, simple straight forward insights into thought processes. |
Tell us a fun fact about you: | Always brush my teeth in the shower, think of the time you could save over a lifetime 🙂 |
