Year 11 and 12 Art Excursion

Our Year 11 and 12 Visual Arts students have had the opportunity to participate in a one-day excursion to the Glasshouse Regional Gallery. Students engaged with authentic experiences related to their Critical and Historical Studies through a guided tour of the exhibition, Weapons for the Soldier.

Later, Year 11 students participated in an oil painting workshop while Year 12 spent time developing their HSC Bodies of Work in the Glasshouse Studios.

I was a great escape from the normal routine.

It encouraged me to work solidly without distraction in a creative environment.

I’d never heard of baroque and sinister diagonals before when learning about Still Life.

I liked it when Antonija talked to us about approaching our painting like pieces of a puzzle and not one whole block.
