Year 7 had a fabulous time at Lake Keepit during camp week taking part in fun group challenges and activities that promoted key learning through developing skills in communication, problem solving, cooperation, negotiation, respect and care for each other. They experienced the outdoors, nurturing an appreciation of the natural environment whilst undertaking activities such as canoeing, the high rope, archery, sailing and the mud run challenge ‘Keepit Commando’. Students were involved in action packed activities reinforcing the importance of physical activity for wellbeing whilst building resilience through collaborating, negotiating and reflecting on difficult challenges to build courage and strength. It was lovely watching the friendships amongst the group build and strengthen throughout the week.
