SCAS was represented by 4 teams at the Primary School HRIS Basketball Championships in Newcastle. All representatives displayed great sportsmanship and behaviour, and further played some outstanding basketball!
The Year 5/6 girls were the most dominant team on the day, being undefeated and scoring 124 points and conceding just 14 all day – go girls! The Year 5/6 boys also played exceptionally well, finishing runners-up after losing a nail biting final 10-8.
Both Year 3/4 teams also exceeded expectations in placing third after many thrilling games throughout the day. Combined, these results were the best ever for SCAS. Well done to all involved.
Thank you to the Secondary School Assistant Coaches as well as the parents who were able to attend and support the day.
