Hannah Griffin has just returned from the Association of Co-educational Schools (AICES) Open Girls Basketball Gala where she represented Hunter Region Independent Schools (HRIS).
Hannah featured prominently in assisting HRIS to a second place finish on the day, with their only defeat coming in the final against a very strong region from Sydney and surrounds. Her performances across the day caught the eye of selectors, and from over 70 participants, Hannah narrowly missed out on the 10 person squad, but was named a shadow reserve. This is an exceptional result given it is Hannah’s first year in the Open Girls division against much older girls. Congratulations Hannah.
