Catania Rows into Second Place

St Columba Year 10 student, Matthew Catania, has placed second in the Under 17 Division of the NSW Rowing Sprint Championships, held at the Sydney International Regatta Centre.

Representing SCAS, Matthew was the fastest qualifier in the heats from a very elite group of rowers. It was a photo finish, with Matthew accidentally awarded the Bronze medal then given the Silver! Matthew rowed exceptionally well in stormy conditions. Congratulations Matthew!
