In preparation for school representation in the Sydney Eisteddfod, the students of Primary and Secondary Touring will be presenting all their competition pieces in The Iona Performing Arts Theatre on Monday 25 July 2022 from 6.00pm to 6.30pm (doors open at 5.45pm).
The groups will keep their normal Monday Touring rehearsals between 3.30pm and 5.00pm to have a technical rehearsal and proper warm-up on the theatre stage. Students will need their SCAS Dance Uniform (including the Performance Jacket) for the rehearsal. Their Touring teachers and Secondary Dance Leaders will then assist students with hair, makeup and costuming for the show at 6.00pm.
The school will provide the majority of the costumes and accessory pieces for the Touring groups. However, students will also need to provide a few items as listed below.
Students will need to bring the following:
Secondary girls should wear full stage make-up: foundation, brown eyeshadow, mascara, blush, red lipstick, eye-liner, and false eyelashes.
Primary girls: foundation, brown eyeshadow, mascara, blush and red lipstick.
Primary boys: Makeup optional. Hair neat.
Primary parents are invited to do their child’s hair and makeup from 5.00pm. Doors will open for the audience to take their seats at 5.45pm.
Tickets are free and available through SCAS Eventbrite. Come along and wish the students well before their trip to Sydney that weekend!
