Since graduating from SCAS in 2010 Harry has turned what was a hobby and utter passion into a career. Harry says that his final year of school was a critical time, when he made the decision to pursue a career in athletics.
In early 2014 Harry applied to University of Canberra to study nutrition and was accepted. He found a new coach and began life in a new city. Harry has now returned to Port Macquarie and has really started to focus on his training, and admits that since his return his training schedule has changed dramatically in terms of how he trains, and his attitude towards training.
Harry is really enjoying being back in his home town – he says he has great friends, family, training partners and some great sponsors. He still travels for racing during the summer season, but when he’s not away racing he’s home training. Harry’s plans for the future are to head overseas for some serious racing as a high-class triathlete.
