SCAS moves through to the semi finals at the Interschool Chess Challenge

The SCAS Secondary Chess team have competed in a regional heat of the Interschool Chess Challenge. They each played 7 games across the day with some excellent results achieved including 2nd place team on the day.

We now have 2 teams qualified for the semi finals to be held in Term 3. The chess club meets once a week to hone their skills and play some practice games.

Currently we are seeking some involvement with the community, for example our team to play some games against parents or grandparents or perhaps to visit a retirement home and play some games.
