School Uniform

Uniform is an important part of a school’s identity. It reinforces who we are as a community and allows students to feel pride in their school. It also helps prepare students for life after school where many will have to dress smartly for work.

At the beginning of the school year, I emailed parents reminding them of the School’s expectations in regard to uniform. Whilst there has been a considerable improvement in uniform and presentation, there are still some areas that are letting us down.

One of the areas of concern is incorrect footwear. I would ask all parents and caregivers to read the list here of footwear styles that are acceptable, and ask that these guidelines are followed when purchasing new footwear.

I have included a link here to the Uniform Guidelines section of the Explain SCAS site. Please ensure that your child is maintaining this standard.

We will continue to enforce these guidelines, and parents and caregivers will be advised if their student is not in correct uniform. In extenuating circumstances when your child is not in correct uniform, please send a handwritten and signed note explaining the circumstances.

Once again, I thank you for your support in enforcing our uniform guidelines. It is these things which contribute in a significant way to the culture and reputation of the School.
