Triathlon Triumphs for SCAS at NSW All Schools event

A team of keen Secondary School athletes represented at the New South Wales All Schools Triathlon event at Penrith International Regatta Centre.

Five students battled it out in the heat competing in the individual’s event.

In the Junior Male category, Year 8 student Ted had a top performance across all three legs finishing 34th overall and 17th in CIS.

Year 9 girls Alice and Laura exceeded both of their expectations for their first solo All Schools Triathlon in the Intermediate category. In a field of over 100 athletes, Alice finished 30th female and 20th in CIS while Laura finished 35th and 24th in CIS.

Year 11 student Sam and Year 12 student Anneliese represented SCAS in the Senior age category. Sam finished an impressive 32nd overall and 15th in CIS seeing great improvement on his 2019 results where he finished 86th.

Anneliese in her final All Schools event brought home her best results since her first race in 2018. Anneliese finished 13th overall and 4th in CIS with her run time being the fastest recorded in her category completing 5km in 20 minutes and 27 seconds!

SCAS was represented in the Teams event by three strong Senior trios.

Our Senior Boys Team 1 comprised of Isaac, Will and Max Bylsma finished a strong 28th overall and 13th in CIS while the Senior Boys Team 2 comprised of Oliver, Jarvis and Samuel finished 55th and 21st in CIS after encountering an unlucky flat tyre in the cycle leg.

Our Senior Girls Team consisted of Molly, Anneliese and Kera. The girls finished 23rd overall and 11th in CIS.

Congratulations triathletes on these awesome results.
