The SCAS U15 cricket team were victorious in their Round 3 match against Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School yesterday.
The match was played in Grafton in very hot conditions. SCAS made a very respectable total of 144 runs and defended this total very well with some accurate bowling and quality catches. Lindisfarne were all out for 70 runs.
Man of the match went to James Chambers who took 4 wickets and scored 32 runs. Will Cuckson also bowled very well taking 3 wickets, while Keisha Dowsett scored a very handy 14 runs and showed similar keeping qualities to the great Wally Grout. Captain Daniel Pretty lead the side well making crucial fielding placements and scoring 17 runs.
Thank you to Super Coach Mr Terrett, whose words of wisdom worked a treat, particularly with our bowlers, and Mr West, who accompanied the team.
The team are now in the top eight of CIS Schools in the State, and will move on to the next round to play either All Saints College Bathurst or Pacific Hills Christian School Dural.
