Year 6 Explore Extreme Weather Events

Year 6 has enjoyed learning about sudden geological changes and extreme weather events and how these affect the Earth’s surface.

Students collaborated in groups to explore various activities designed to expand their knowledge of cyclones, volcanoes, tsunamis and earthquakes.

Who would have thought that eggs and Mars bars are excellent representations of the earth and can be used to explore the features of an earthquake? The students also recreated volcanoes and cyclones with other food items.
