End of Year Achievement Awards

Celebration of Learning (Years K-6)

The role of the Celebration of Learning is to reinforce the belief that lifelong achievement is about effort and attitude. Teachers will acknowledge the individual achievements of children in their class. It would be a good idea to send your child’s Library folder to school on this day to protect their certificate on its journey home.

We would normally invite parents to this celebration but unfortunately due to current COVID restrictions, this cannot occur. Instead, the Google slide show will be shared with parents in the afternoon through our Google Classrooms. The slide show will contain a video of highlights from the year and the student citations that were read out to the class. Children are required to wear full school uniforms for their class Celebration of Learning.

Primary School End of Year Achievement Awards (Years 3-6)

The Primary School End of Year Achievement Awards are a time for the school to celebrate high-level achievement and outstanding contributions to the classroom and the Christian and cultural life of the school. Class Awards include Academic, Commitment to Learning and Citizenship. Specialist prizes include Visual Arts, Performing Arts Hour and Languages awards for each class. The Chaplains Award, Excellence in Humanities, STEAM and Performing Arts, Dux of Year 6 and SCAS Award, are the highlights of the event. The 2021 School Captains will be announced at the Stage 3 Ceremony.

Year 6 students will be receiving their Year 6 Graduation Certificates and an acknowledgement from Year 6 teachers about the success of the year. A memorable component of this graduation are the Kindergarten photos of our graduates.

Parents will need to purchase a free ticket to register for the Livestream access. Parents can also view the event via the link until 10pm on Monday 6 December. Parents will be notified by email on Wednesday 1 December 2021 if their child is receiving an award.

Children are required to wear full school uniforms for the Primary School End of Year Achievement Awards.

Secondary End of Year Achievement Awards (Years 7-11)

Due to COVID restrictions, we will again celebrate the end of the year with students on-site and share a livestream of the event with our families.

All students are encouraged to attend and applaud the wonderful achievements of our students. Normal lessons will be provided outside of these ceremonies with the exception of the Year 11 students, who at the conclusion of their ceremony will not be required to remain at school (supervision can be provided if required). Parents will be notified by email on Wednesday 1 December 2021 if their child is receiving an award.
