‘Steamlettes’ is a brand new club that runs mini STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Maths) activities for primary students every short break in the library.
Over the past few weeks, Steamlettes sessions have seen students design their own fonts, create paper-circuit bookmarks, use resources from the Museum of Contemporary Art to create soundscapes, and write and illustrate a series of “robot poems” to celebrate World Poetry Day (visit the library to see their interactive exhibit!).
