This year has started well for the St Columba Anglican School chess teams, with students meeting regularly with Primary on Mondays at Long Break and Secondary at 8.00am on Tuesdays. Earlier this month we sent a team of 26 students from Primary and Secondary to the Day of Chess held at Westport Public School. The teams both experienced success with the Primary team finishing 3rd on the day and the Secondary team finishing in 2nd place. Both teams have won the right to play in the semi-finals of this competition later this year. Some outstanding individual results included:
