Circus Troupe Swoop Workshop

The SCAS Circus Troupe recently enjoyed a challenging Circus workshop with Swoop Physical Theatre owner, Danielle McKinnon. Danielle spent the two days training our new batch of Circus performers across range of acro shapes and balances. She showed them how to hone their circus equipment skills as well as how to devise a contemporary Circus performance piece.

The SCAS Circus troupe of over 35 students performed to a highly supportive audience of family and friends, the pieces and skills they had developed over the two days with Danielle.

The Circus troupe has been greatly inspired by these workshop days and are beginning to build their 2018 Circus performance entitled ‘SCAS Safari’. Circus is a lunchtime group that is run in the Iona Performing Arts Theatre.
