Excellent Results from the NSW Combined Independent Schools Athletics Championships

Yesterday, SCAS was represented by the following 18 students at the NSW Combined Independent Schools Athletics Championships at Sydney Olympic Park.

There were several exceptional results on the day, as follows:

  • Michael Vandoros – 1st in Shot Put (by over 1m!) & 2nd in Discus.
  • Lucy Lund – 2nd in the Long Jump, 3rd in the 100m (in a very close finish) & 4th in the High Jump.
  • Trent Alley – 2nd in the U-10 800m (in a close finish) and the 1st placed 9-year-old by approx 15 seconds.
  • Jasmine Rumbel – 3rd in the Discus (again narrowly missing gold).

These students have now been invited to attend the NSW State Championships which will be held in Week 3 of next term.

Congratulations from all of us!
