Yesterday, SCAS was represented by the following 18 students at the NSW Combined Independent Schools Athletics Championships at Sydney Olympic Park.
There were several exceptional results on the day, as follows:
- Michael Vandoros – 1st in Shot Put (by over 1m!) & 2nd in Discus.
- Lucy Lund – 2nd in the Long Jump, 3rd in the 100m (in a very close finish) & 4th in the High Jump.
- Trent Alley – 2nd in the U-10 800m (in a close finish) and the 1st placed 9-year-old by approx 15 seconds.
- Jasmine Rumbel – 3rd in the Discus (again narrowly missing gold).
These students have now been invited to attend the NSW State Championships which will be held in Week 3 of next term.
