Introducing Ben Offereins, our new Head of Sport

Our new Head of Sport, Ben Offereins, joins St Columba Anglican School after moving from Sydney for a welcome change of pace. Ben will oversee the Sport program across the whole school, working towards instilling a lifelong interest in sports participation for all students.

Ben was previously the Competition Manager for Athletics New South Wales, where he had responsibility for overseeing track and field and cross country events throughout the state, including State and All Schools Championships, as well as recreational fun run events.

Ben is a talented Track and Field Athlete who has represented Australia at the Olympics, Commonwealth Games, and the Australian Athletics Championship where he won the gold medal in the 400m. Ben is also the national team coach for the Australian 4x400m relay team.

Ben is looking forward to branching out from a singular sport and getting involved with the many sports on offer at SCAS. We welcome Ben to the team, and we are excited for the wealth of experience he will bring to the role.
