Jones Block Facilities Upgrade

The first refurbishment of our aging student toilet facilities was completed at the end of 2022.

The Jones block, completed early in 2002, was one of the first two buildings built on the campus and the facilities were well overdue for an upgrade. This is the first of a number of refurbishments which will be rolled out across the School over the next 4 years. The work includes the removal of hidden open spaces in traditional toilet blocks around taps and wash areas where students might congregate unseen and unsupervised by teaching staff. These areas are redesigned to allow the installation of discrete cubicles which afford students privacy and include individual wash facilities. The redesign and refurbishment of facilities like these are being incorporated Australia wide by Schools as a Child Safe initiative.

The School Building fund was utilised to help us complete this refurbishment. Thank you to those members of our community who, by donating to the building fund, allow us to keep our student facilities up to date, accessable, safe and serviceable.
