The SCAS Open Cricket side travelled to Grafton last week for a first round clash of the Douglas Shield Cricket against Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School.
Batting first, the SCAS team amassed 164 in the allocated 40 overs, with good contributions from most batsmen including a chanceless 42 by Rodney Cooper and a solid 20 by keeper/batsman Keisha Dowsett.
Every SCAS bowler troubled the opponent batsmen, bowling Lindisfarne out for 110 to win by 54 runs. The young team will now have an opportunity to play at SCAS in a second round against Calrossy Anglican School.
Congratulations to Coach, Mr Terrett, and the team on this great result.
