Year 9 student Penny Hilberts has launched a community service program called Tempo. Tempo is a not for profit program that offers students between 5 and 18 years of age a chance to play a musical instrument. In Penny’s words “When I wanted to learn clarinet I was fortunate enough to have been able to borrow a clarinet from school. I have now completed my Grade 4 Exam, and this would not have been possible without that initial access to an instrument”.
Penny is looking for volunteer tutors for her program, and would like anyone with an instrument at home not being used, to consider donating it to the program. More details are linked here.
