Kindergarten to Year 6 Reporting

K-6 Semester 1 reports will be released on Friday 31st July via the SEQTA Engage app. Reports can be found from the menu on the left-hand side, under the heading of Reports.

Please ensure that your SEQTA Engage app is up-to-date so that you can receive these reports. If you need assistance with the Engage app, please contact us via email. If using an Apple device, it appears that the reports open best when using Chrome as an internet browser.

You may have noticed that there have been some changes to our Progressive Reports this year. We have also changed the way that our Semester Reports look.

The School values of Care, Excellence and Citizenship have been included in reports this year. These have been expanded in each stage and grow with our students as they progress through the Primary School.

A major focus this year has been to more visually incorporate the 6Cs – communication, collaboration, citizenship, character, creativity and critical thinking – into our teaching and learning practice. You may notice that the General Comment includes aspects of several of these Cs.

Each subject has a Subject Outline, so that you can read about what students have been learning in class. In Mathematics and English, three Areas of Strength and Target Areas have been included for each student, to help guide future learning.

Outcomes have been marked according to a five-point common grade scale, which consist of outstanding, high, grade level achieved, developing and below grade level. The first page of each report includes an explanation of these terms. Please note that within subjects, different strands may have been weighted differently. Therefore, this may affect the overall achievement grade.

Similarly, the wording of Effort grades has also changed. These used to be a numerical scale but are now more clearly defined with words: outstanding, consistent, inconsistent and needs improvement.

Due to the COVID-19 situation, we were unable to run co-curricular activities for any length of time this semester, and have therefore not included these on the reports.

We trust that you will find these changes helpful to you as you receive your child’s report at the end of Week 2.
