House Spirit Day a Success!
This week, we celebrated House Spirit Day, and it was a resounding success! The vast majority of students proudly wore their House colors and actively participated in the planned activities and challenges. This event fosters a sense of community and belonging among students, and we look forward to seeing that spirit carry over to the upcoming Swimming Carnival on Monday.
Year 7 Parent Meeting and Strong Start
Next week, on Tuesday evening 27 February, we invite parents of Year 7 students to meet their child’s teachers. Year 7 has had a fantastic start to the year, evidenced by the recent pastoral care session run by our Year 11 peer support students. These sessions provide valuable opportunities for our younger and older students to connect and build meaningful relationships. More information on the Year 7 event here.
Year 10 Career Exploration
Year 10 students are currently exploring their future career options. During Week 11, they can choose between work experience placements or participate in our school’s Future Directions program. Both options offer valuable insights into various career paths, further complemented by the senior tertiary camp experience in Year 11. Students interested in work experience must submit all forms by Friday, 8 March, to ensure smooth logistical arrangements.
Important Reminder: E-Scooters
We have observed instances of students using e-scooters to commute to school. It’s crucial to remember that, as per Transport NSW regulations, personal e-scooters remain illegal on public roads and related areas, including footpaths, shared paths, and bicycle lanes. Their use is strictly limited to private property. We kindly request your cooperation in ensuring your child is aware of these regulations.
As always I thank you for your support of our school and the many programs we run. I hope you have an enjoyable and refreshing weekend.
