Thank you to our federal Member for Cowper, Pat Conaghan MP, for dropping in last week to see our amazing new Stage 1 playground. This space provides an important place for children. Play is the key to physical, mental, intellectual and social wellbeing of children. It impacts on almost every developmental aspect of children’s lives holistically and with multifaceted ways. A big thank you to the Federal Government’s Local Schools Community Fund for their contribution to this project.
The new play area has been a huge hit with our Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 students, and is in constant use throughout the school day, with the sandpit being a particular favourite of most of our youngest students.
