On Tuesday 11th May, Year 9 participated in an exciting workshop to solve the mystery of how 17-year-old Sally died. A range of evidence collected from the crime scene was examined to deduce when, how and why the teenager died.
DNA, fingerprint and footprint data, toxicology reports, microscopic examination of fibres, entomology studies and other trace evidence was provided by Education Interactive.
To accurately piece together the events that unfolded on October 11th, the afternoon Sally did not come home from school, Year 9 students had to analyse the available scientific evidence, think logically and problem solve. The case also raised several social issues such as drink spiking, cyber safety and consequences of risk-taking behaviour.
